// JEEP WHEELS & TIRES — QUESTIONS ANSWERED

What bolt pattern are Jeep Wrangler wheels?
The Wrangler JK (2007–2018), JL (2018+) and Gladiator JT use a 5x5 inch (5x127mm) bolt pattern. The older TJ and YJ use 5x4.5 inch (5x114.3mm), so wheels do not interchange without adapters.
What backspacing is best for a lifted Jeep?
Lifted Jeeps running 35s or larger typically need 4.5 inches of backspacing or less (roughly -12 to +18mm offset) to clear suspension components and push the tire outward for stability.
Do I need beadlock wheels for off-roading?
Beadlocks let you safely air down to 8–12 PSI for maximum traction on rock and sand without unseating the tire bead. For occasional trail use at 15+ PSI, standard wheels are fine.
