Jeep Aftermarket Parts ("JAP," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use jeepaftermarketparts.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what's needed to sell you parts and run the site, we never sell your personal information, and your payment card details go straight to Stripe — we never see or store them.
// 1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
- Order information. When you buy, we receive your name, email, phone, shipping address and order contents so we can fulfill and support your purchase.
- Payment information. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure checkout and processed on Stripe's PCI-DSS Level 1 infrastructure. JAP receives only a payment confirmation and the last four digits of your card — never the full number.
- Contact & review submissions. Messages sent through our contact form and reviews you post, including the name and email you provide.
- Cart data. Your shopping cart is stored locally in your own browser (localStorage) — it never leaves your device until you check out.
- Technical data. Like virtually all websites, our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare) logs IP addresses, browser type and requested pages for security, performance and abuse prevention.

// 3. WHAT WE SHARE — AND WHAT WE DON'T
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share data only with service providers who need it to operate the store:
- Stripe — payment processing (Stripe privacy policy)
- Shipping carriers and fulfillment warehouses — your name and address, to deliver your order
- Cloudflare — site hosting, content delivery and security
- Law enforcement or regulators — only when legally required
// 4. COOKIES & TRACKING
JAP runs intentionally light on tracking. We use strictly-necessary storage (your cart, session state) and Stripe sets cookies required for secure checkout and fraud prevention. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, this policy will be updated and any consent requirements honored.
// 5. DATA RETENTION
Order records are retained as required for tax, accounting and warranty-support purposes. Contact messages are retained while we work your request and for a reasonable support-history period. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below); we will honor the request except where retention is legally required.
// 6. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your state or country of residence (including under the CCPA/CPRA for California residents and GDPR for EU/UK visitors), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of marketing at any time. To exercise any right, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy Request." We respond within 30 days and never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
// 7. SECURITY
All Site traffic is encrypted with TLS. Payments are handled end-to-end by Stripe's certified infrastructure. Administrative access to order data is restricted and key-protected. No internet system is 100% secure, but we architect so that the most sensitive data (your card number) never touches our systems at all.
// 8. CHILDREN
The Site is intended for users 18 and older and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted prominently on the Site.
